MGArt Beauty Awards 2025 — Championship Rules (for Competitors)

1. General Provisions

The Judging Committee of the Championship includes MGart-certified judges.

Any nail technician experienced in manicure, nail sculpting, and design techniques using professional materials may participate in the competition upon submission and payment of the application.

The Championship is held in person at the following location: 1801 N. Lamar St. Ste. 400 Dallas, TX 75202

2. Competition Structure

The championship includes competitions in the following category: "Dual Forms Nail Sculpting"

There are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in this category.

3. Titles, Awards & Prizes

Winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd place) will receive:

  • Trophies

  • Valuable product prizes from MGart

The 1st place winner receives the title "MGArt Dual Forms Champion 2025" and gains the official status of MGart Educator, with placement on the MGart website and the right to certify students with MGart-branded certificates.

2nd & 3rd Place Winners will receive the "MGart Rising Star 2025" trophy and gain the status of MGart Ambassador, with exposure on MGart's platforms and opportunities for collaboration.

All other participants will receive the "MGArt Beauty Awards 2025 Participant" trophy, along with  a gift from MGart.

4. Application Process

  • All applications must be submitted online by filling out the form below.

  • After submitting the form, the applicant will receive payment instructions by email.

  • Registration fee is paid via PayPal or credit/debit card.

  • Once confirmed, the participant receives a registration number.

  • If confirmation is not received within 3 business days, please contact the organizing committee.

  • Registration fees are non-refundable.

Each participant must bring their own model.

5. Model Requirements  

  • Model must be at least 18 years old

  • Neat and clean appearance

  • Models with suspected infectious diseases, fungal infections, open wounds, or visible inflammation in the working area are not allowed

  • Models must behave respectfully during the competition

 

Violation of these terms may result in point deductions or disqualification.

6. Check-In & Registration

 

Participants and models must check in at the Registration Desk during their designated time: 11:00am.

 

Participants must bring:

  • Registration number

  • ID matching the application

Models must bring:

  • Age verification document

 

By registering, both participant and model:

  • Confirm awareness and acceptance of the rules

  • Give consent for photo/video recording during the event and for MGart to use this media for editorial or promotional purposes

 

After registration, participants receive:

  • Badge

  • Contest number

  • Checklist

Then they may proceed to the competition zone.

7. Workstation Setup

 

Participants must bring:

  • Nail drill machine

  • Drill bits (in sterile pouch)

  • Nail files and buffers

  • Brushes

  • Extension cords if using multiple devices

  • All other necessary tools and materials (if you feel more confident working with them)

 

MGart will provide:

  • Table and two chairs

  • One power outlet

  • Supplies: gloves, lint-free wipes, alcohol, nail lamp, mini UV lamp, arm rest, orange sticks

  • MGart products: primer, base gel, structure gel, top coat, Dual Forms

8. Preparation Rules Before competition begins:

  • All tools must be in sealed sterilization pouches

  • New files and buffers only

  • Place personal bags on model’s side

  • Phones on silent (timer use allowed)

  • Prepare model for NailCheck

 

After "Stop" command, models go to the judging zone, and techs pack up their items and exit the zone.

9. Conduct During Competition

  • Phones and devices may only be used in timer mode

  • No use of personal bags during competition

  • No communication with other participants

  • Do not leave the area without permission from the floor observer

  • No peeking at other participants’ work

  • Questions may only be addressed to MGart staff

  • Models must not talk to judges or mention the technician’s name

10. Judging Procedure

  • Evaluation takes place in the Judging Zone

  • Each work is scored by 3 judges

  • Scores are recorded in official score sheets

  • The total score is calculated by the Organizing Committee

  • The sum of scores from all 3 judges is the Final Score

11. Disqualification Grounds

 

A participant may be disqualified for:

  • Arriving late

  • Breaking championship rules

  • Inappropriate behavior

  • False information

  • Model with infection, fungal condition, open wounds, etc.

  • Leaving the competition area without permission

Only the Head Judge may make the disqualification decision. Floor observers may only report violations. Registration fees are non-refundable in case of disqualification.

12. Delivery of Awards Trophies and gifts are handed to the winners in person or may be shipped at the winner’s expense within 2 weeks after the event.
